Panalangin Upang Tulungan ng Diyos
Katha ni David upang awitin ng Punong Mang-aawit.
13 Hanggang kailan, Yahweh, ako’y iyong lilimutin?
Gaano katagal kang magtatago sa akin?
2 Gaano katagal pa itong hapdi ng damdamin
at ang lungkot sa puso kong gabi’t araw titiisin?
Kaaway ko’y hanggang kailan magwawagi sa akin?
3 Yahweh, aking Diyos, tingnan mo ako at sagutin,
huwag hayaang mamatay, lakas ko’y panumbalikin.
4 Baka sabihin ng kaaway ko na ako’y kanilang natalo,
at sila’y magyabang dahil sa pagbagsak ko.
5 Nananalig ako sa pag-ibig mong wagas,
magagalak ako dahil ako’y ililigtas.
6 O Yahweh, ika’y aking aawitan,
dahil sa iyong masaganang kabutihan.
Sermon Description
1. How to Pray When God Seems Distant:
–> This point can explore how David expresses his honest feelings to God and asks for His intervention in his situation.
–> It can also show how David models a prayer of lament that moves from complaint to confidence in God’s unfailing love.
> I don’t see any problem on us being honest to our God, because through this, we opened up our true feelings with Him.
> When we wholeheartedly open up with God, we can have a different feeling and our frustrations may be converted to more hope and confidence with God.
2. From Desperation to Determination:
–> This point can examine how David shifts from despair to hope in the midst of his troubles.
–> It can also highlight how David affirms his trust in God’s salvation and his resolve to praise God for His goodness.
> Most of the time, we are desperate because we want something to happen in our own time, but if we give our full trust to the Lord, instead of being desperate, we will be more determined to wait because we believe that God answers prayer.
3. Overcoming Despair:
de·spair = the complete loss or absence of hope.
–>This point can analyze how David deals with his depression and his enemy’s triumph.
–>It can also emphasize how David finds joy and peace in God’s steadfast love and His bountiful dealings with him.
> When we lose hope and faith, we are only saying that we are done already.
> The truth is only God can tell that to us, if we are done, we are done. But while we still have our lives, breathing and moving, we still have hope and should continue still.
