The Upper Room Daily Devotion | JOHN 14:27
In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Jesus’ words offer a comforting reminder that true peace can only come from Him. The world may offer us temporary relief from our troubles, but it cannot provide the lasting peace that our souls long for.
The peace that Jesus offers is not dependent on our circumstances or external factors. It is a deep and abiding sense of calm that comes from knowing Him and trusting in His love and provision.
As we navigate the challenges and uncertainties of life, may we hold onto the promise of Jesus’ peace. May we allow His words to calm our anxious hearts and bring us a sense of comfort and security.
And may we share this peace with others, bringing hope and encouragement to those around us who may be struggling. As we extend the love and peace of Christ to others, we become vessels of His grace and ambassadors of His kingdom in a world that so desperately needs it.
