The Redemption of a Criminal’s Faith

INTRODUCTION
Most of the times we read this verse is during lent season or mahal na araw.
But today, I would like to speak on this important matter about us making decision and manifesting our faith.
There are 2 men who crucified with Jesus, one on the right and one on the left.
The other other one said “Hindi ba ikaw ang Cristo? Iligtas mo ang iyong sarili at pati na rin kami.”
The other one said, “Wala ka na bang takot sa Diyos? Ikaw ay pinaparusahan ding tulad niya! Tama lamang na tayo’y parusahan nang ganito dahil sa ating mga ginawa.

1. What we know about God can be subjective
-> We can learn from sharing but good knowledge comes with our self initiatives to gain it
-> Our relationship with God can lead us to know Him well
-> How we can defend God if we are lacking knowledge about God?

2. Our (good) fate can only be achieve through a genuine faith
FATE: be destined to happen, turn out, or act in a particular way.
-> The Criminal who manifested His faith to Jesus, suddenly changed his Fate
-> Our good future is in the hands of God
-> As long as our time is in our hands, we can always decide to put it to the hands of God

3. Our God has always the final say
-> Most of the times, we are claiming someting in God’s behalf — But the reality is we really don’t know what its in God’s mind.
-> Even we spent almost all years of our lives in the church or we are like the criminal who committed lots of mistakes
-> If we decide to turn our face to God, He can always decide on our favor.
