Before we experienced too much rain, our Angat Dam was at Critical level.
There is a plan of implementing rotational supply of water to residences in Metro Manila, plus the plan of complete stoppage of water supply to farms.
We were praying back then to give us some rain so our shortage in water may be filled up by rains.
Now that we are experiencing too much rain, our homes are being flooded.
There was one time when I asked a Panda Rider what he likes most, raining or hot season? He said, just in the middle.
As for me, we have experienced extreme weather conditions before. We have never been so conscious on how we should be taking care of our environment.
We have been so careless as if there is no tomorrow, so now we have this problem as an effect of our being irresponsible caretakers of our world.

1. God placed us in this world to take care of His creation
-> If we only do our job well, we should have a better world today
-> We all have a part to make our world a better place to live
-> If today is not yet the right time to act on taking care of our environment, when will it be?

2. We are now the victims of our own selfishness
-> Converting our natural resources to something that will bring us wealth without being responsible is too selfish.
-> What we only care right now is our own good, and not the good future of our children
-> What we experienced right now is the effect of what we did wrong in the past

3. Be mindful of the next generation
-> If we choose to be concern, even in our little way, we will think of how we can protect and take care of our environment
-> If now we are experiencing extreme weather conditions, what more in the next 10 to 20 years when our children are in their 30’s or 40’s?
-> Money or wealth will never ever give you peace of mind, as if you’re rich you will never experience too much heat or floods.
-> If we will correct our attitude in taking care of our environment, we can have an assurance that our children and their families in the future will live a better life.
