Standing on the Promises

Amen, a Hebrew word meaning “certainly” or “Let it be so” used in response to someone’s statement and in liturgical settings.
Most of the times in preaching time the Pastor, Priest or whomever is stating something that is true and we are also agreed on it.
We usually say, “AMEN”.
So today, if you’re agree or can really testify on whatever I will say today, just say “AMEN”
It is indeed that God is fulfilling His promises on us. Amen?
He never turns His back on us in times of difficulty in our lives or where we are in a situation and we don’t know where to go.
And even if we are in that kind of situation, we are still able to escape, survive and win the battle we’ve been through.
Because Yes, and Amen, as God promised us to be with us at all times, despite the many circumstances we may face, He will never leave us nor forsake us.

8 Si Yahweh ang mangunguna sa iyo. Sasamahan ka niya. Hindi ka niya bibiguin o pababayaan man, kaya’t huwag kang matakot ni panghinaan ng loob.”

We can always stand and hold on His promises to us because that is how good our God is. That is how we loved us. God is always true to us, no matter what happened, no matter where we are, God is always with us.

1. God’s promises are unbreakable
-> How many promises we already had that we made that were broken?
-> Most of the time, we as humans, we always break promises
-> Promises of true love, support, marriages, relationships.
-> We used to break our promises because we are weak, afraid, and we don’t want to be in a difficult situation.
-> That is why we usually chose to break our promises.
Yes, breaking our promises is a choice, and sad to say, we used to choose breaking our promises, whether to God, to people we love, to someone we just met.
In our time today, we called it SCAM. Most of the time, we Scam God, we Scam people around us, because again we choose to break our promises.
But our God is different, He never and will never choose to break His promises on us.
For so many years, centuries, we all can testify that God is always true to His promises on us.
AMEN?

2. Our Hope in Him is unshakable
-> When we are at the end of all our options, we tend to go with God as our only and last Hope.
-> The sad part is, we only choose to go with God, because we can’t find any solution or hope to the people around us.
-> I will say it again, even us human beings in this world, if we are at their last option or last priority, or maybe not in any priority, what would you feel?
– You will get hurt, you will get mad, you will feel jealous, or you will say that when He or She will go with me, I will never help her/him.
-> If we will feel this way, what do you think God will feel, knowing that we are not going with Him right away but instead, we choose to go with Him when we don’t have any hope or we can’t find any solution?
God can also be hurt, because we never choose Him first.
So before we go somewhere, approach people around us, or consume all our efforts to find solutions to our problems.
Let us choose to go with God, because our Hope with Him is unshakable.
As God always finds ways for us, He is our best option, He is our Best HOPE.
So before you look around, you look up first and pray. Because our Hope is alive with our God.

3. Let us commit ourselves to stand on His promises to us
-> There are people who are afraid of commitment
-> They might be afraid of failures or breaking it like what I shared on my point number 1.
-> Let us be reminded today that we only failed to stand on our commitment because we disregard it, so we choose to make wrong decisions and also sometimes we are not conscious of our commitments.
-> If we can only be true to our commitments, whatever happens, we will choose to stand on God’s promises to us.
-> If we can only do this, we will never feel alone.
-> We will never feel defeated or lost.
-> Because in many years and generations of men we had been
-> Generations by Generations can testify that God is always TRUE to HiS PROMISES.

AMEN? AMEN!
