Sermon Description
1. The Role of Joseph: Joseph, despite his initial plans to divorce Mary, chose to obey the angel’s message. This can be used to discuss obedience to God’s will, even when it contradicts our own understanding or societal norms.
2. The Virgin Birth: The verse emphasizes that a virgin will conceive and give birth¹². This miraculous event underscores the divine nature of Jesus and sets the stage for the extraordinary life He is about to lead.
3. “God with Us”: The name “Immanuel” translates to “God with us”. This introduces the concept of God’s presence among humanity through Jesus. It could be a chance to explore the themes of God’s closeness, His love for humanity, and the personal relationship He seeks with each of us.
