Impossible to I AM Possible

Mateo 19:26
Magandang Balita Biblia
26 Tiningnan sila ni Jesus at sinabi, “Hindi ito magagawa ng tao, ngunit magagawa ng Diyos ang lahat ng bagay.”

Sermon Description

Thinking the word “Impossible”

1. How do we say that things are impossible to achieve, or happen?
2. Mostly the impossibility of something we based on what we can see
3. We also based this on our abilities to do something

Knowing that our eyes can see limitations, our things to do are also limited. These gave us the impression that we can’t really do something about it.

Exodus 3:13-14
New International Version
13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[a] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

Today let’s talk about things that for us seems impossible but with God it is indeed possible.

Matthew 19:26 is a powerful verse in the Bible where Jesus says, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Here are three points to consider:

Divine Possibility: This verse emphasizes the omnipotence of God. What may seem impossible for humans is possible for God. This could be a reminder that when we face challenges or situations that seem insurmountable, we can find hope in God’s power.

Omnipotence by Definition:
The quality of having unlimited or very great power.

Insurmountable:
too great to be overcome.

When we see something too great to overcome, that confirms the impossibility already.

Then we will think, we can’t do anything about it.
So we lose hope already BUT there is HOPE in Omnipotence God and this will extend what our eyes can see, what things we can do.
So how can we hope for someone? If we have faith in us for that someone.

A while ago, I said that we judge things because of what we can see, and it is something we don’t see and that gives us HOPE and connects us to God.

Grace and Transformation: The context of this verse is a conversation about wealth and the difficulty for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. It suggests that through God’s grace, hearts can be transformed. Even those who are attached to worldly riches can be led to value spiritual wealth.

I have a question.

Why the normal people like us come to God?
1. Because we need help
2. We need God intervention on our situations
3. We need healing because we don’t have the means to go to a doctor

Have you seen rich people come to Church frequently?
NO right? Because they have everything they need.
Mostly they don’t rely on God but only through themselves.
This is the reason why God said that it is difficult for the rich people to enter the kingdom of Heaven.
But even if they are rich, if they have the willingness to be transformed, with the grace of God, they can be changed also and how will you know that they already changed?
They started to care, to be an extension of blessings for others.

Most especially, they rely more on God and not only on themselves.
And that will link us to our next point

Dependence on God: This verse encourages complete dependence on God. It’s a call to trust not in our own abilities or resources, but in God’s provision and guidance.

In our first point we discussed our limitations
In our second point we discussed about transformation

On our Third Point, we have a call to trust God and not on our own abilities and resources but in God’s provision and guidance.

Because even though we are the richest people in the world, without the provision of good health coming from God, our wealth is nothing.
Even though we are the smartest people in this world, if we don’t have guidance from the Lord, we can still be lost and can’t find the true meaning and happiness in our lives.
Some of us are asking for independence like they don’t like others to intervene in their lives. Actually God gave us Freedom, and this gave us the power to decide on ourselves.

But most of the time we make mistakes in embracing our freedom because we are not guided in most of the decisions we make.
We need God, we need Jesus, we need to be dependent on Him on everything we think, act as in everything about our lives.
