Finding Strength in the Face of Adversity

INTRODUCTION

Adversities of life can include challenges such as personal loss, financial difficulties, health issues, relationship struggles, unexpected changes, societal pressures, and emotional hardships.
There are times we countered one of these or maybe two, three or four.
From all of these, we may encounter countless times of financial difficulties.
That great thing here is despite all those adversities we faced before or maybe now, we are still here. Still fighting and hoping we can get through again like the ones we claimed victory before.
In all those times, it is important that we know to whom we should run to find strength.
God provided us people that can be the source of strength for us not to give up easily with all adversities we have right now.
But most importantly we knew in our heart that God is always our best option to run with in times of difficulties in life.

1. Let us not forget that in times of adversity, God is faithful

Panaghoy 3:21-23

22 Pag-ibig mo, Yahweh, ay hindi nagmamaliw; kahabagan mo’y walang kapantay.

-> God’s faithfulness is limitless, never ending, always there
-> He never stops watching over us because that is how God loved us
-> Despite our failures, He is always there for us.

2. Release all your worries and ask God nicely through prayers

Filipos 4:6-7

Sa halip, hingin ninyo sa Diyos ang lahat ng inyong kailangan sa pamamagitan ng panalanging may pasasalamat. 7 At ang kapayapaan ng Diyos na hindi kayang maunawaan ng tao ang siyang mag-iingat sa inyong puso at pag-iisip dahil sa inyong pakikipag-isa kay Cristo Jesus.

-> Most of the times, when we are tested, all our worries occupy us and because of that we can’t move and be productive.
-> Ask nicely means, don’t pressure God with what you need, just give your full trust on Him through faith
-> Communication is important, small or big concerns that we have, always approach God

3. God never changed on us

8 Kung sino si Jesu-Cristo noon ay siya rin ngayon at magpakailanman.

-> His love for us, never change a bit
-> He rescued us before, He can rescue us in the times of our need
-> He is our forever caring and loving God
